William F. Pittenger, Jr., OD
“I wanted to make a difference in my patients’ care.
“When I chose to become a doctor of optometry, I wanted to ‘win’ over health care conditions such as diabetic retinopathy and glaucoma, to give my patients the healthiest sight possible. Helping people and saving their sight is my number one priority.
“So many diseases and conditions of the eye can go undiagnosed were it not for dilation… for me that is unacceptable. I don’t believe in cutting corners when it comes to your vision. That is why I consider eye dilation an important part of a complete eye examination.
“Being a successful, independent optometrist allows me to help my patients… one patient at a time. By spending time with you, I can thoroughly assess your eye health and make recommendations based on what you really need.
“I will probably never retire. I love what I do and I think it shows.”
