Testing  

Some of the testing that Dr. William Pittenger may use during your visit to 20/20 Eye Care Centers includes:

• Pascal testing – Used for glaucoma, this test uses a sterile rubber tip to detect eye pressure.
• Goldman test – Using yellow fluorescein dye applied to the eyes, we then use a blue light to test for glaucoma.
• Camera – Using this real-time technology, we can take a picture of your cornea, lid and retina and review a 3-D image.

With any test, it is Dr. Pittenger’s desire that you should be treated with the respect and the attention you deserve. He will go to great lengths to ensure the health of your eyes.  Should you need a referral to a specialist, Dr. Pittenger works with several area ophthalmologists he knows and trusts with his patients’ sight. These specialists can provide targeted care and surgery for a variety of eye conditions. Throughout your treatment, Dr. Pittenger and your specialist will work together as a team, sharing important information about your care.
