The 20/20 experience.

When you first visit 20/20 Eye Care Centers, you will feel welcome. We take great pride in making your experience a positive one. That is why we greet you the moment you arrive and answer all of your questions and concerns. Based on what you need, we will guide you to our relaxing lobby area or to our full-service optical dispensary, featuring certified opticians to help you select the frames and lenses that are right for you. Your exam will begin with pretesting performed by one of our certified technicians and may include:

• Blood pressure – We care about your overall health and will check your blood pressure based on your individual health issues.
• Humphrey visual field machine exam – This glaucoma technology uses a video monitor to allow the technician to see how you are seeing.
• Matrix visual field machine test – This equipment is sensitive to certain cells in the eye that can help us detect glaucoma in its earliest stages.
• Heidelberg retinal tomography – Measures nerves and detects the presence of edema in macular degeneration as well as the progression of glaucoma.

After your testing, you will be escorted to an advanced treatment room and meet one-on-one with Dr. William Pittenger to discuss your health history and test results as well as ask questions about your vision. This is a good time to ask Dr. Pittenger anything about your eye health and how it relates to your well-being.
